The biggest existential threat right now has to be climate change.

It really does impact every single facet of our lives and the greater world around us.

Fortunately scientists are already on it. Huge amounts of money are being poured into research of technologies that can reduce our impact on climate change. New Cars, new methods of energy generation and ways to limit our usage.

James is absolutely right. Climate Change is a real issue and it is going to be very difficult to stop it. We can and as a scientist, I think we will, but we need to see huge shifts in culture and across the globe. Whether this happens is down to how we vote in the future.

I agree with James and Connor. As a climate scientist I know that climate change is a huge problem that the whole world is facing, but I also know there are scientists all over the world trying to help combat this problem. These scientists range from people modelling the climate to see what it will be like under certain scenarios to help us understand what the impact of our behaviour will be on the climate if we don’t stop using fossil fuels etc, to scientists developing technologies to replace those that emit a great deal of emissions into the atmosphere.
