Especially as a younger person the chance of you as an individual dying even if you do catch it are very small. For you, probably, it’s only a couple times more dangerous than the yearly flu. The problem is that because it’s so easy to transmit it can reach those who are vulnerable; the elderly and those with other conditions. Many people have already died from it and many more will do before this is all over. However whilst the amount of deaths will remain a statistically small number or people compared to the population we need to do everything we can to limit it even further and make as many people as possible safe. By securing ourselves we help look after those that are potentially in more danger.
